Housing that meets people’s needs while keeping costs fair
Coquitlam needs housing that works for renters, families, seniors, young people, and homeowners. At the same time, residents are already under real financial pressure from housing costs, property taxes, and the rising cost of living.
I believe housing and budget decisions should be guided by one simple question:
Will this help residents afford to live and build a future in Coquitlam?
That means supporting more housing choices, protecting neighbourhoods that are working for residents, planning growth carefully, and making sure City Hall respects the financial pressure households are already facing.
My Priorities:
Support housing that meets real needs
Coquitlam needs homes that work for different stages of life, including renters, families, seniors, young people, and first-time buyers.
Protect neighbourhoods that are working for residents
Growth should be thoughtful and well-planned. Coquitlam should protect neighbourhoods that provide affordability, community, trees, walkability, and quality of life.
Keep taxes and costs fair
City Hall needs to respect how much pressure residents are already under. I support responsible budgeting, cost control, and fair property taxes.
Make growth help pay for what residents need
New development should help deliver the infrastructure and community amenities residents need, including parks, childcare, affordable housing, and other public benefits.
